Khalkos and Sirios Cancel Agreement for Hipo Property

By Midnight Trader August 20, 2012, 02:40:58 PM EDT

Khalkos Exploration Inc. (KAS.V) and Sirios Resources Inc. (SOI.V) have cancelled an agreement which would have allowed Khalkos to acquire a 50% interest in Sirios' gold property Hipo in Quebec.

Both boards of directors judged that it would be more beneficial for each company to cancel the transaction, the two firms said in a joint statement.

The Hipo property consists of 63 claims separated in three non-adjacent blocks located at around 50 kilometres south of the LG-4 hydroelectric complex in James Bay, Quebec. The property is centered on a volcano-sedimentary belt that has undergone little or no exploration until now.

KAS shares were up half-a-cent at $0.07.

SOI shares last traded at $0.025.
