Kansas City Southern Reports 9% Drop In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews.com) - Kansas City Southern ( KSU ) reported earnings for third quarter that decreased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings declined to $120.3 million, or $1.12 per share. This was down from $132.9 million, or $1.21 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.22 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
