James Crown, who sits on the board of directors at JP Morgan ( JPM ) , bought 500,000 shares of the company's common stock on Jan. 30 and 31. At $55.41 per share, Crown paid a total of $27,762,600 for the new shares.

IK-> The technicals for JPM ($55.24 up $0.92) are bullish with a downward trend. Recent support has been around $54.31 and recent resistance has been around $56.00. Standard & Poor's has a three STARs (out of five) rating on the stock. Look at the March 45/50 bull-put spread for a 25-cent credit. That's a 5.26% return and the stock has to fall 9.5% to cause a problem.  [InvestorsKeyhole, Various news and data services]
