IAMGOLD Q4 Earnings, Revenues Lower Versus Year Ago; Guides FY 2013 Production

IAMGOLD Corp. ( IAG ) reported fourth quarter net earnings of $90.3 million, or $0.24 per share, down from $107.8 million, or $0.29 per share, in the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter were $468.4 million, down 3% from the fourth quarter 2011, due to a lower volume of gold sales.

For the full year 2013, the company expects gold production to be in the range of 875,000 to 950,000 ounces.

The company also reported post 2012 reserves of 11.3 million ounces and measured and indicated resources of 22.6 million ounces. Niobium reserves increased to 1.8 billion kilograms.

IAG was up 2 cents to $7.44 in the after-hours market.
