In a move to enhance customer experience,
Hertz Global Holdings, Inc.
) recently added Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe to its Dream Car collections
as the next Hero car in some key European destinations. In a
partnership agreement between the vehicle rental giant and Jaguar
Land Rover, Hertz obtained exclusive rental rights of Jaguar F-TYPE
Coupe in 2014.
The new collaboration marks the third consecutive year of
partnership between the two companies with an aim to offer new
Jaguar models to the Hertz customers. In 2013, Hertz had introduced
Jaguar F-TYPE convertible to its Dream Car collections.
Starting at a price of approximately $66,000 for the base F-TYPE
Coupe model, this two-seater car has a 3.0 liter V-6 engine. It can
reach a speed of 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. The car was first
introduced at the 2013 Auto Show held in Los Angeles and was made
available for sale in spring 2014.
Per the agreement, driving enthusiasts can hire this sports car
from certain locations of Belgium, Spain, Italy, France and the
Netherlands by booking online at
The locations from where this dream car can be hired are -
Brussels Airport in Belgium; Nice downtown, Nice Airport, Monaco,
Cannes, Saint-Tropez as well as in Paris downtown and airport
locations Paris Orly and Charles de Gaulle Airports in France;
Olbia Airports, Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa in Italy; Madrid
and Barcelona Airports in Spain; and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in
We believe that addition of this new Jaguar model to the Hertz
fleet will be beneficial for both the companies. Hertz will be able
attract customers who want to experience the extravagant ride,
which might in turn lead some of them to purchase the car
facilitating Jaguar Land Rover to boost sales of its vehicles.
Hertz operates a car rental business under Hertz, Dollar,
Thrifty, and Firefly brands in North America, Europe, Latin
America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and New Zealand.
Hertz is the number one airport car rental brand in U.S. and
operates at 130 major airports in Europe.
However, the company currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong
Sell) due to accounting mishaps that led it to postpone its
first-quarter fiscal 2014 earnings announcement and related 10-Q
filing. The earnings release scheduled for Jun 9 were delayed due
to the identification of certain errors in its financial results
for 2011 and the need to restate the same as well as make relevant
corrections in its 2012 and 2013 statements.
