Gran Tierra Energy Announces Successful Peruvian Well Test; Shares Up 2.2%, But Off 52-Week Top Hit Earlier

Shares of Gran Tierra Energy ( GTE ) hit a 52-week high of $6.73 mid-morning, but have since pulled back to trade at near $6.50 at midday, after the company announced that it has successfully completed testing of the sidetrack on the Breta a Norte 95-2-1XD exploration well in Peru. Results support the significant potential production additions expected from the Breta a field, according to Dana Coffield, President and Chief Executive Officer.

GTE has traded in a day range of $6.40 - $6.73. Shares have a 52-week bottom of $4.00.
