Analysts at Goldman Sachs on Wednesday cut their rating on the Chemicals sector from "Attractive" to "Neutral," noting that recent economic data indicates a slower near-term growth outlook.

On average, the firm cut its 12-month price targets for stocks in the sector by 8%. Some highlights include:

  • The Dow Chemical Company ( DOW ) - "Buy" rating, target cut from $40 to $35.
  • EI DuPont de Nemours & Co. ( DD ) - "Neutral" rating, target cut from $42 to $40.
  • Eastman Chemical Co. ( EMN ) - "Buy" rating, target cut from $82 to $76.
