Gold Stock in Late Rally But Still Slightly in Red for Session

Gold stocks are cutting earlier losses but remain negative for the session as investors looked to other asset classes after several down days throughout the equity markets.

Iamgold Corp (IMG.TO) was down 0.15 to 18.04, after climbing back to a mid-day high around 18.65. Kinross Gold (K.TO), Eldorado Gold (ELD.TO) and Barick Gold (ABX.TO) all are well off their day's low but were still between 0.3% to 0.5% in the red.

Goldcorp (G.TO) and Yamana Gold, meanwhile, both have been positive since about noon and are adding to those gains late. Yamana is now up 0.12, or 1%, to 11.37; Kinross also was up about 1%, adding 0.41 to 46.02.
