GeoNovus Minerals Corp. (GNM.V) has begun drilling at its Middle Mountain porphyry copper property in south central Arizona. The drilling will focus on several anomalies at depths of 100-400 meters that were generated from an induced polarization ( IP ) survey conducted in late 2011.

Follow-up drilling is also planned at its Red Hills porphyry copper project, where recently-completed drilling confirmed the presence of a fault-displaced portion of a porphyry system under sedimentary cover.

Middle Mountain is under an option agreement with Inmet Mining Corp. (INM.TO), with GeoNovus holding its interest under a mining lease agreement with Eurasian Minerals Inc. (EMX.V)) through its wholly-owned subsidiary Bronco Creek Exploration Inc. Eurasian Minerals Inc. is acting as operator for the 2012 work programs at Middle Mountain and Red Hills.
