A pair of General Electric ( GE ) directors bought shares this week. James Rohr bought 10,000 shares on Jan. 21 for $26.18 per share, meaning he shelled out a total of $261,842 for the new shares. On the same day, William Beattie bought 2,000 shares at $26.23 per share for a total purchase price of $52,460.

IK-> The technicals for GE ($25.02 down $0.81) are bullish with a downward trend. The stock is below recent support and recent resistance has been around $26.64. Standard & Poor's has a four STARs (out of five) rating on the stock. Look at the April 20/23 bull-put spread for a 21-cent credit. That's a 7.53% return and the stock has to fall 8.1% to cause a problem.  [InvestorsKeyhole, Various news and data services]
