William Beattie, a member of the board of directors at General Electric ( GE ), bought 10,000 shares of the company's common stock on July 23. At $26.01 per share, Beattie paid a total of $260,100 for the shares.

IK-> The technicals for GE ($26.02 flat) are bullish with an downward trend. Recent support has been around $25.98 and recent resistance has been around 27.02. Standard & Poor's has a Four STAR (out of five) rating on the stock. Look at the Nov. 21/24 bull-put spread for a 20-cent credit. That's a 7.1% return and the stock has to fall 7.8% to cause a problem.  [InvestorsKeyhole, Various news and data services]
