FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - NZD/USD is currently at fresh session lows around the 0.8322, off session highs at 0.8344, still +0.69% higher after impressive jump yesterday following US House positive vote on Senate's bill deal on "fiscal cliff". The pair reached a fresh 2-week high at 0.8398 after which it retraced to yesterday's lows at 0.8290.

As reported by The New Zealand Herald: "Business confidence has leaped 22 per cent on the same time last year, putting New Zealand's optimism well above that of Australia and even further above the world figure, a new survey shows," the newspaper says, putting Kiwi strongest currency among majors in last 2 days and since Dec 24.

Immediate support to the downside for NZD/USD lies at recent NY session lows 0.8290, followed by Monday's highs at 0.8271, and Friday's highs at 0.8228. To the upside, closest resistance shows at session highs 0.8344, followed by yesterday's 2-week highs at 0.8398, and Feb 15 2012 highs at 0.8421.
