Forex Flash: Shunning the EUR and the USD - HSBC

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Both the EUR and USD are under pressure, as the markets fret about the euro crisis and increasingly the US fiscal cliff, according to the HSBC team.

"In this scenario we would turn positive on some currencies that we are currently shying away from", they add.

"SEK has been a stand-out performer, its lack of liquidity no longer offsetting its strong fundamentals", comments HSBC. "It would be a winner should EUR and USD remain shunned, but we expect additional SEK upside even if we return to a more conventional EUR-USD dynamic".
