Forex: AUD/USD ends the week below 1.0400

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Australian dollar has had a relatively quiet day and is set to close the NY session little changed amid thin liquidity and as investors remain cautious given the uncertainty surrounding the US fiscal cliff.

AUD/USD has spent the day inside a slim range between 1.0365 and 1.0395, unable to set a fresh direction, having fallen to a 5-week low of 1.0343 earlier this week.

At time of writing, AUD/USD is quoting at the 1.0375, flat on the day but down 0.2% this week. On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.0365 ahead of 1.0345/40, while on the upside resistances could be found at 1.0395(Dec 28 high), 1.0415 (Dec 24 high) and 1.0435.
