Forex: AUD/NZD sheds overnight gains

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - AUD/NZD has shed all of the previous day's gains in the Asia-Pacific, having fallen to a 2-day low of 1.2860 on the back of a weak Australian dollar. The drop comes on the back of falling commodity prices and persistent global growth concerns. At the time of writing, AUD/NZD is quoted in the 1.2870 area, recording a 0.3% loss so far on the day. Asian shares are still trading deep in red. Japan 225 is now down 72.31 points, or 0.8% at 8997.50. S&P/ASX 200 is down 43.45 points, or 1% at 4313.00. Hang Sen 40 is quoted down 261.51 points, or 1.32% at 19527.00. S&P CNX Nifty is down 46.80 points, or 0.88% at 5287.80.
