First Trust, the Wheaton, Ill.-based firm known for its First Trust ISE-Revere Natural Gas Index Fund (NYSEArca:FCG), enlisted J.P. Morgan to sponsor the cross listing of 21 of its ETFs on Mexico’s stock exchange. Terms weren’t disclosed.

The plan includes FCG as well as First Trust’s enhanced-beta “AlphaDex” strategies. The ETFs will trade on the international segment of the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV).

J.P. Morgan’s depositary receipts business will service the ETFs, which will be listed in pesos. It will also handle corporate actions, disseminating information and working with investors in Mexico, J.P. Morgan said in a press release.

First Trust is the latest company of a growing group of ETF providers trying to enter the Mexican market. Last year, New York-based WisdomTree cross-listed nine of its most popular ETFs on the international segment of the BMV. iShares, State Street Global Advisors, Vanguard, Invesco PowerShares and ProShares also have done the same.

“We feel confident that there will continue to be an increased demand from both providers and investors for peso-denominated ETFs,” Joseph Dooley, a J.P. Morgan executive in the company’s depositary receipts for the Americas, said in the release.

The partnership between the two companies is intended to provide “better service and pricing” to a growing marketplace in Mexico, and help First Trust’s entry into that space, Ron McAlister, managing director at First Trust, added in the release.
