European ADRs Up on Manufacturing Gains

Depository receipts of European stocks were up 0.38% to 152.76 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday morning.

Steel manufacturer Arcelor Mittal ( MT ) led the gainers expanding 5.06%, while GW Pharmaceuticals ( GWPH ), a biopharmaceutical company known for its multiple sclerosis treatment, jumped 3.53%.

Telecommunications service provider Portugal Telecom ( PT ) rose 3.21%, National Bank of Greece ( NBG ) expanded 3.13% and multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi ( SNY ) lifted 1.60%.


Mining companies Randgold Resources (GOLD), and Royal Dutch Shell-B Shares also saw sizeable gains, jumping 1.00% and 0.68% respectively.

Downers were led by Sequans Communications (SQNS), a developer and supplier of single-mode LTE chipset solutions, which dropped 2.70%.

Innocoll AG (INNL), a specialty pharmaceutical company, decreased 2.17% and therapeutic ultrasound provider Edap (EDAP) slid 1.74%.

Publishing and education company Pearson (PSO) dropped 1.58% and Lloyds Banking Group (LYG) slid 1.34%.
