Corrected: European ADRs Higher on Banking Gains

Depository receipts of European stocks were up 0.95% to 152.21 on the Bank of New York Mellon Index on Monday morning. Losses in mining and manufacturing companies were offset by strong gains seen in banking stocks.

Three-dimensional printing systems manufacturer Voxeljet AG ( VJET ) was up 6.05%. Bank of Ireland ( IRE ) gained 1.80% and Royal Bank of Scotland ( RBS ) expanded 1.77%.

Biopharmaceutical company Amarin ( AMRN ) jumped 1.64%, whilst Barclays Bank ( BCS ) increased 1.41%.

HSBC (HSBC), Banco Santander (SAN) and National Bank of Greece (NBG) also saw gains of 1.20%, 1.23% and 0.87% respectively.

Decliners were led by Delhaize (DEG), a food retailer, which contracted by 1.22%. Innocoll AG (INNL), a pharmaceutical company, which slid 0.95%. Mining company Randgold Resources (GOLD) dropped 0.59%.

Sequans Communications (SQNS), a developer and supplier of single-mode LTE chipset solutions, was down 0.53% and materials technology company Luxfer (LXFR) was also down 0.42%.
