EU: CPI – Core up 1.8% year on year

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The EU Core CPI calculated by Eurostat registered an increase of 1.8% in April 2011 compared to 1.5% in April 2010. It is a higher reading than the analysts' forecasts who did not expect any change.

As for CPI, is has remained stable at 2.8% year-on-year, and dropped from 1.4% in March to 0.6% in April, as expected.
