Energy XXI Forms Joint Venture With Apache; Provides Operations Update - Shares Dip Late

Energy XXI ( EXXI ) has entered into an agreement with Apache Corp. ( APA ) to explore for oil and gas pay sands associated with salt dome structures on the central Gulf of Mexico shelf. In addition, EXXI has acquired a 25% working interest in 21 non-producing primary-term leases with Apache.

The company also issued an operations and production update.

EXXI is down 0.6% at $29.85 after-hours, in a 52-week range of $26.20 - $38.50.

APA closed the day at $74.66, in a 52-week range of $72.20 - $109.10.
