Energy Stocks Ending on High Note; Endeavor International Rising after Wrapping $500M Offerings

Energy stocks are set to end higher this afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector index rising 0.57% and the S&P Energy index gaining 0.47% shortly before the final bell.

Crude oil for April delivery gained $1.54 higher today to settle at $107.89 a barrel in NYMEX trade while April natural gas fell 2 cents to $2.76 per 1 million British Thermal Units. Heating oil and RBOB gasoline also were higher today.

Endeavor International Corp ( END ) is up more than 2% in late trading after saying it has closed on its offering of $350 million of 12% first priority notes due 2018 and and $150 million of 12% second priority notes due 2018. END is planning to use proceed from the offering to purchase three oil fields in the United Kingdom North Sea as well as fully paying off a senior term loan coming due next year.
