Welcome to the emerging markets heat map as the first week of the new quarter comes to a holiday-abbreviated end. Global markets started off mixed after the ADP jobs number with LFC 1.21%, SSL 0.77%, BIDU 0.56% and TEVA 0.47% leading the Emerging Stock index on the up side.

The large-cap emerging markets stocks in our universe -- think of this as a global version of the Dow industrials -- are broadly mixed this morning:

Turning to the Emerging ETF index, we find the action equally mixed as money flows back into gold in early trading.  The country ETFs in the lead today include EZA (S. Africa) 1.20%, EWT (Taiwan) 0.97%, EWY (S. Korea) 0.72% and FXI (China) 0.57%. GLD 0.81% is also climbing along with the broad emerging market ETF EEM 0.58%
