LONDON--The April loading program for North Sea Ekofisk crude oil is scheduled at 200,000 barrels a day, down from the 271,000 barrels a day originally planned to load in March, a trader said Thursday.

The program consists of 10 standard 600,000-barrel cargoes. It is equivalent to a total volume of 6 million barrels, down from 14 cargoes, or 8.4 million barrels, in March.

In addition, there are four or five cargoes deferred from the March program into April, according to a trader. These deferrals mean that the program will start later than usual, around April 13, the person said.

The Ekofisk fields are operated by ConocoPhillips ( COP ).
