Digital coupon marketplace RetailMeNot files for a $230 million IPO

RetailMeNot, which operates the world's largest digital coupon marketplace, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $230 million in an initial public offering. The Austin, TX-based company, formerly known as WhaleShark Media, was founded in 2007. RetailMeNot booked $156 million in sales for the 12 months ended March 31, 2013 and plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol SALE. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
