Consumer shares were mainly higher ahead of the opening bell on Friday.

In consumer stocks news, shares in bebe stores ( BEBE ), an apparel and accessories retailer, dropped after the company said in a regulatory filing it expects to close all its store by the end of May.

Shares in the company were 0.3% lower at $3.75 in pre-market trade. The stock has traded between $3.13 and $9.10 over the past 52 weeks.
