•    Shares of CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS ) and Time Warner Cable Inc (NYSE: TWC ) gained 4.7% and 1.8%, respectively, after they entered into an agreement which aims to stop the blackouts at their New York, Los Angeles and Dallas stations

•    Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ ) will pay $130 billion to purchase Vodafone's US wireless business. Following these developments, shares of Verizon dropped nearly 2.9%

•    Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC ) will sell its residual stake in China Construction Bank Corp for $1.5 billion
