•    Shares of VeriFone Systems Inc (NYSE: PAY ) declined 6.3% after it responded to inventor inquires for additional details on cash flow for the six months ending April 30, 2012

•    The Bank of Nova Scotia (NYSE: BNS ) reported second quarter earnings per share of $1.15, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.16 by a penny

•    Sanderson Farms, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAFM ) reported second quarter earnings per share of $1.04, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.86
