•    Shares of II-VI, Inc. (NASDAQ: IIVI ) plunged 12.6% after it lowered the earnings forecast for the current quarter as well as for the next fiscal year ending June 2013

•    Argentina's largest oil and natural-gas company YPF SA (NYSE: YPF ) gained 6.9% after the world's richest billionaire, Carlos Slim, announced he had acquired a 8.4% stake in the company

•    The Kroger Co.'s (NYSE: KR ) board of Directors approved a $1 billion share repurchase program, a day after it posted first quarter earnings per share of $0.78, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.72

•    Synutra International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYUT ) lost 20%, a day after it reported its fourth quarter earnings per share of $0.13, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.20
