•    Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: MRVL ) plunged 10.3% after the verdict in a patent infringement case went against the firm. The case was filed by Carnegie Mellon University who will  receive around $1.17 billion from Marvell

•    Shares of Zynga Inc. (NASDAQ: ZNGA ) surged 2.6% following news that the online gaming site will soon be introducing its real time online money gaming platform in the United Kingdom

•    Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF ) gained 5.2% on Wednesday after it announced it had hired law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP as its new strategic adviser

•    Shares of Medifast, Inc. (NYSE: MED ) dropped 13.1% after it announced that its acting CFO, Edward J. Powers will resign from the company on  4th January, 2013
