•    CVS Caremark Corporation (NYSE: CVS ) reported second quarter earnings per share of $0.81, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.79

•    Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR ) posted a second quarter loss per share of $0.84, breezing past the Zacks Consensus Estimate loss of $0.42 by 42 cents

•    Shares of MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM ) surged 7.5% after it reported a second quarter loss per share of $0.12, lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate loss of $0.14
