Colombia's largest banking group Grupo Aval withdraws US IPO

Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores S.A., which is Colombia's largest banking group with $72 billion in total assets, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Thursday, stating that it does not plan to pursue a public offering in the US at this time. The Bogotá D.C., Colombia-based company was founded in 1994, and its shares already trade on the Columbian Stock Exchange. J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Citi and Morgan Stanley were set to be the joint bookrunners on the deal.
