CME Group Introduces New Natural Gas and Power MArkets on CME Direct; Shares Slightly Higher

CME Group Inc. ( CME ) is up 0.5% at $58.68, slightly off a day's high of $58.72, after it today announced the launch of a suite of new natural gas and power markets.

These new contracts will be listed as futures on CME Globex, the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) trading floor and CME ClearPort, and will be available for trading on CME Direct. This follows the May introduction of CME Direct, which offered industry participants access to CME Group's suite of global benchmark energy products, including Henry Hub Natural Gas.

The new natural gas and power product suite includes 164 natural gas contracts available at 52 trading hubs and 48 power contracts.

CME trades in a 52-week range of $44.94 - $60.92. Shares have increased 15% in the last 12 months.
