China Jan-Feb Retail Sales +12.3% On-Year

BEIJING--Retail sales in China rose 12.3% in the January to February period from a year earlier, slowing from a 15.2% on-year increase in December, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Saturday.

The statistics bureau only releases joint data for retail sales in January and February, to eliminate distortions from the timing of the Lunar New Year holiday, which sometimes falls in January and other times in February.
