Canadian Solar Jumps to New High on Favorable Court Case Ruling, Shares Jump 9%

Canadian Solar Inc. ( CSIQ ) is up 9.1% to $8.54, and earlier set a new 52-week high of $8.98, after a Chinese court dismissed LDK Solar Co.'s ( LDK ) request to enforce the $40.1 million arbitration award decision by the former Shanghai branch of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.

The arbitration award relates to wafer supply contracts entered into between the two companies in October of 2007 and June of 2008, and subsequently terminated.

LDK is up9.8% at $1.67 in a 52-week range of $0.71 - $3.10.
