Canada Stocks Close Lower; Metals and Mining Drive Losses; Telecomm Bucks Trend

Canadian stocks closed lower on Wednesday most sectors were down, led by Healthcare and Metals and Mining.

The TSX pushed through technical support earlier in the trading session and continued to accelerate lower throughout the day. Momentum on the commodity heavy index is negative as the MACD prints at its lowest level in the past 3-months and is pointing to lower prices.

Bombardier Aerospace (BBD-B.TO)was one of the more active shares on the TSX. On Wednesday the company said the first flight of its Learjet 85 has been delayed. BNN cites a spokesperson as saying the company will hold the first flight when it is ready and when a "systems issue" is resolved. BNN says Bombardier recently said it expects more than $1 billion in Learjet sales over the next five years.
