Calendar focuses on jobs, Beige Book

Today's economic calendar focuses on employment data and comments from the Federal Reserve.

The first report comes at 7 a.m. ET from the Mortgage Bankers Association, which will announce monthly loan applications.

ADP's private-sector jobs report follows at 8:15 a.m. ET and will likely draw attention as a prelude to the pivotal Labor Department emmployment report on Friday morning. Economists expect that 150,000 jobs were added in February, down from 192,000 the previous month.

Factory orders follow at 10 a.m. ET but are unlikely to sway market sentiment because they cover activity from January. Forecasts expect a drop of 2.2 percent.

Weekly oil inventories are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. ET. The Fed will release its Beige Book report of economic conditions at 2 p.m. ET.
