Blank check company Grassmere Acquisition withdraws IPO


Grassmere Acquisition, a blank check company focused on the consumer and leisure sectors, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Monday. The Kansas City, MO-based company, which was founded in 2009, had previously postponed its offering in August 2011. Lazard Capital Markets and Macquarie Capital were set to be the joint bookrunners on the deal.
