Bio-Reference Laboratories Q1 Profit Slightly Increases - Quick Facts

(RTTNews.com) - Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. ( BRLI ) reported first-quarter net income of $8.665 million or $0.31 per share. This is compared to net income of $7.365 million or $0.26 per share prior year.

Revenues were $161.26 million for the quarter. Revenues, as adjusted for Topic 954, were $138.79 million for the fourth-quarter of prior year.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.28 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude speical items. Analysts expected revenue of $165.44 million for the quarter.

The company re-affirmed its fiscal year 2013 guidance.
