Europe-based ETFs held a majority of the spots on the best-performing funds Wednesday, as investors in part responded positively to Greece's newly created coalition government.

The First Trust Europe AlphaDex Fund (NYSEArca:FEP) gained 3.50 percent, while the iShares MSCI Norway Capped Investable Market Index Fund (BATS:ENOR) tagged on 2.72 percent giving putting the ETFs in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots, respectively.

Despite the European ETF rally, the iPath Pure Beta Grains ETN (NYSEArca:ETN) was the top performing fund yesterday, returning 6.56 percent.

The U.S. market dipped in response to the Federal Reserve's choice to extend "Operation Twist" causing the Dow Jones industrial average to lose 12.94 points, or 0.10 percent, and close at 12,837.33.

Worst Performers

Coffee and oil-based ETNs were among the worst performing exchange-traded products yesterday.

Both commodities took a hit as oil futures fell below $80 a barrel for the first time in eight months and Arabica coffee futures remain at a two-year low.

The iPath Dow Jones-UBS Coffee Total Return ETN (NYSEArca:JO) was the worst performer, shedding 4.33 percent.

The iPath S&P GSCI Crude Oil Total Return ETN (NYSEArca:OIL) lost 4.14 percent, the United States Oil (NYSEArca:USO) dropped 3.76 percent and United States Brent Oil Fund (NYSEArca:BNO) fell 3.43 percent.

Volatility-related ETPs dominated the worst-performers list again, most of which were linked to short-term futures.
