Berkshire Hathaway Buys Newspaper Tulsa World -Reports

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKA, BRKB) has agreed to buy the Tulsa World, a 95,000 circulation daily in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to published reports.

Terms of the transaction, reported by the newspaper and the Associated Press, were not disclosed. Robert E. Lorton Jr., chairman of World Publishing Co., said the family-owned newspaper "business has become a difficult business model" and that Berkshire's BH Media Group "presents the best opportunity to continue" the local paper, the Tulsa World reported on its website.
