Bengal's Cuisinier Drilling Campaign Continues to Produce Positive Results

Bengal Energy Ltd. (BNG.TO), which is trading near a year low 64 cents, announced that the Cuisinier 5 well, the second well in the 2012 Cuisinier appraisal drilling campaign on the Barta Block portion of ATP 752P in the Cooper-Eromanga Basin, Australia, is to be cased as a future oil producer.

The Cretaceous Murta member, DC70 sand was the primary target and the zone came in high to prognosis encountering approximately 4.5 metres of sandstone with a preliminary estimate of a minimum of 2 metres net pay. The DC70 sand appears to be located within an interpreted channel environment which exhibits well developed porosity. A drill stem test carried out by the operator recovered 53.2 degree API oil and gas cut drilling fluid.
