BCE Inc. (BCE): New Analyst Report from Zacks Equity Research - Zacks Equity Research Report

We are maintaining our Neutral recommendation on BCE Inc. The successful execution of management's six strategic initiatives is expected to reap profits in the coming quarters. At the same time, acquisition costs from the Astral Glentel takeover might impede margin growth. Going forward, the company's wireless segment will benefit from solid subscriber additions within the postpaid segment along with increased data usage by smartphone users. On the wireline front, BCE is expected to benefit from growth in Fiber TV and Fiber Internet customers. However, persistent loss of large business customers in Network Access service will affect its wireline segment. Additionally, certain headwinds such as stiff competition, possible formation of another large carrier, loss of advertisement revenues and union issues prevent us from being too optimistic on the stock.
