The Matte & Gloss technology features tactile, pearlescent
and hot stamping capabilities. This exclusive innovation in Ball
Corp.'s printing line is now available on its impact extruded
aerosol cans and beverage bottles.
The printing process allows customers to combine both effects on
the same can. The combination will enhance a product's shelf
appeal through view and touch and attract more customers.
Matte & Gloss can be applied to any design or color for a
contrast effect. The gloss reflects light and the matte offers a
subdued soft look. This is in sync with Ball's continued
innovation of industry-leading solutions.
Apart from its innovations, Ball Corp. is also focusing on cost
containment in Europe. The benefits of these cost cutting
measures are expected to be realized in 2014 and 2015.
