Aurizon Mines ( AZK ) shares are down almost 10% to $3.74, falling for a second day, after the company reported that an inspection of its tailings ponds at the Casa Berardi Mine revealed a spill of liquids and suspended solids over the external tailings dyke.

Most of the material was contained inside the tailings pond containment area and no further discharges into the environment have occurred, it said. AZK does not expect any impact on operations.

The stock dropped almost 4% on Thursday on the news. It trades in a 52-week range of $3.19 - $5.54.
