Atlanta Gold Taps Ernest Simmons as CEO; Shares Flat in Little Volume

Atlanta Gold Inc. (ATG.V) said that Ernest Simmons, formerly vice president of mining and chief operating officer, has been appointed president and CEO.

Under his new role, Simmons will lead the transition of the Atlanta gold project from exploration through ongoing development. Simmons replaces Warren Holmes as interim president and CEO. Holmes will now be a vice-chairman of the company.

Shares in Atlanta Gold Inc. were last traded at 1030 a.m. ( ET ) this morning and are currently flat at 0.025.
