AstraZeneca PLC ( AZN ) is working with banks on a possible plan to sell the rights to some future revenue from existing drugs, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The plan is one of several strategic options the company is considering, according to the report.

AstraZeneca Chief Executive Pascal Soriot has said he is looking at ways to boost the U.K. drug maker's share price after fighting off a takeover effort by Pfizer Inc. ( PFE ), including forming cancer-treatment partnerships with rivals and making its own acquisitions.
