Asian ADRs Move Lower in Thursday Trading

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.11% lower at 174.53 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Thursday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by IT company ChinaCache ( CCIH ), and aluminum producer Aluminum Corporation of China ( ACH ), which rose 2.7% and 2.3% respectively. They were followed by delivery service ZTO Express ( ZTO ), up 2.1%, and solar equipment company JinkoSolar ( JKS ), up 1.9%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by online retailer LightInTheBox ( LITB ), and LG Display (LPL), a manufacturer of thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays, which fell 3.9% and 3.8% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company Semiconductor Manufacturing International (SMI), down 2.4%, and solar panel manufacturer Yingli Green Energy (YGE), off 1.7%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by nautral resources company Vedanta (VEDL), and HDFC Bank (HDB), which increased 1.3% and 1.1% respectively. They were followed by automaker Tata Motors (TTM), up 0.4%, and telecommunications provider Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), higher 0.3%.

Direct-to-home video provider Videocon d2h (VDTH) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 1.2%, followed by IT services firm SIFY Technologies (SIFY), which noved 0.5% lower. WNS Holdings (WNS), a provider of business process management services, fell 0.3%, and pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) shed 0.1%.
