Ascent Solar Closes 9 Mln Share Offering; Stock Down Fractionally

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. ( ASTI ) has closed its previously announced underwritten public offering of 9.167 million shares of common stock at a price of $1.20 per share.

Ascent received net proceeds, after deducting the underwriting discount and estimated offering expenses, of approximately $10.1 million. Ascent has also granted the underwriters a 45-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.375 million shares of common stock to cover any over-allotments.

ASTI shares are down $0.01 to $1.18, after being up slightly in earlier trading. It trades within a 52-week range of $0.36 - $2.31.
