Appeals Court Rules in Favor of Pesticide Makers in Dispute With Fisheries Agency -Bloomberg

An appeals court ruled in favor of Dow Chemical Co.'s. ( DOW ) Dow Agrosciences, Makhteshim Agan of North America Inc. and Cheminova Inc. in a dispute about restricting pesticides to protect salmon habitats, Bloomberg News reported Thursday.

The court found that pesticide restrictions proposed by the National Marine Fisheries Service were based on "data, tests and standards that did not always appear logical, obvious or even rational," Bloomberg reported.

The court sent the proposals back to the fisheries agency, the report said.
