Trina Solar ( TSL ) was downgraded to Neutral from Outperform by analysts at Zacks. The firm currently has a price target of $5.90 on the stock.

TSL Wednesday voiced its opposition to the European Commission's preliminary decision on the "provisional," or preliminary anti-dumping (AD) duties to be imposed on the imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic wafers, cells, and modules originating in or consigned from the People's Republic of China into European Union member countries.

The EC decided that a provisional AD duty of 11.8% is to be imposed on imports for two months beginning on June 6, 2013. After August 6, 2013, increased provisional AD duty rates of 37% - 67% are to be applied, including a rate of 51.5% on PV products from TSL, unless the EU and China reach agreement on an alternative resolution to the matter. The European Commission is to decide by December 5, 2013, if "definitive," or final AD duties will be imposed for five years.

TSL is up 2.1% at $5.72.
